Meena Kumari was an Indian actress, singer, and poet. She was born on 1 Sedate 1932 in Dadar East, Bombay, Land India. She died on 31 Amble 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. 

Her father, Khalifah Baksh was a singer and stage production artist. Her mother, Prabhavati Devi was a stage performer. She had sisters, Khurshid Bano and Madhu. 

She was married to Kamal Amrohi, an Amerindian film director and screenwriter.
